can anyone give any recommendations on where to stay at Orient Beach? We're not looking for anything really pricey, just nice and comfortable and clean! Also, if that particular property allows nudity on their stretch of beach, and/or at their pool!

Thanks in advance

La Plantation is very nice. Most of the hotels on Orient are not right on the beach, but are a short walk or ride away. Topless is fine anywhere on Orient Beach, with the completely nude heading to the southern end.

We stayed at Le Hoste a couple of years ago. Very nice and right on the beach. You really need a car. Some of the best restaurants in the world are at Grand Case which is aoubt a 5 minute drive.

Wanted to add my E mail address to what I just sent. Also we were there during the Henniken Regatta and went out on sailboat to watch the race. Lots of fun!!

We just got back from St. Martin FWI. Stayed at Cap-Caraibes (less than 1 minute walk to beach). Depending on the time you go, prices range from USD $140 (off-peak starting April 18th) to 210 (peak season. It was nice to be literally on the beach. Nice people, clean and large accommodations. The room comes with a kitchen. It was very windy when gets a bit cold at night - bring a light sweater. Also, the sun is strong, so bring lots of sun-tan lotion. Recommend to rent a car as we did not see lots of taxi service and the island is great to explore. Stay on the French side for meals - the food on the Dutch was not great.

We just got back and had a great time on Orient Beach. We stayed at the Cap-Caraibes Hotel and it was literally right on the beach (less than 1 minute walk). The rooms come with a kitchen and is quite large. Rates ranges from $140 for off-peak season (starts on April 18) to $250 for peak. Recommend you stay on the French side for all the activities. We found the Dutch side to be less safe and people less friendly (the opposite of what people have told us). Grand Case has the best restaurants and there is a party every night on Orient Beach. Would definitely rent a car - the island is fun to explore. Bring a light sweater as it gets a bit cold at night. Also, bring lots of sun-tan lotion - the sun is very strong! Have fun - we had a great time!!!!
