Any recommendations for a wonderful Caribbean family resort? Something for all ages- with emphasis on snorkeling, fishing & relaxing. (Not interested in the topless/ clothing optional places.)

We have been to Aruba. That is a great island for Americans. Very americanized. There is everything available there, nightlife, snorkel, shopping, casino, swimming. We didn't partake of too much night life or gambling, but it is a fun place. We stayed at LaCabana, ideally set up for families. You can go all inclusive with their pizza shops and regular restraunts and buffets or not. Most snorkeling requires a ride to see fish, but there are plenty of spots. http://www.lacabana.com/ will get you a link. http://www.aruba.com/home.htm will show you more of the island. We took our honeymoon there, and it was all we expected. Lately though, we have been looking at other spots with the emphasis on snorkling. The Iberostar in Cozemel has been mentioned as a good spot for right in front of the hotel snorkeling. We have also been looking at Bonaire, as it is very laid back, and offers little more than snorkeling, and a national park. Not much night life there. I have read that there are some clothing optional resorts there. In Aruba, that is officially discouraged, and you won't see topless there, at least we didn't. Our next trip will probably be to Bonaire, laid back, snorkeling, state park, no night life (We can't stay up anyways...) And we are empty nesters. If you have kids, I can't recommend LaCabana enough. Enjoy!
