We'd like to visit some resorts that you can snorkel from the property or very nearby. We are looking for good fish sightings, without having to arrange and schedule a tourboat and pay $85 for the privledge every time. We like snorkeling so much, we'd go broke. Where do you like the snorkeling , on property?

Coral Gardens on Provo has a real nice reef at their property.

Mexico's Riviera Maya has good snorkeling right around the beach area. Cozumel also has nice snorkeling areas.

You can try my place :)
Seriously, we have superb snorkelling right off the beach, see www.thereef.com.ky
BTW, we were the "Editors Find" in Caribbean Travel and Life in September 2003, so the magazine has already discovered us :)

Try the Turks & Caicos Club. It is right next to the reef, but not right in front so the beach isn't crowded with non-hotel guests like Coral Gardens is.

Is the Club Med also next to or within walking distance to the reef in front of Coral Gardens? I am looking to go this summer, and am also a snorkeling nut...thanks..

Club Med is the farthest hotel from the snorkeling. You'd have to take a cab.
