I was thinking of either going to Teasure cay on Abaco or to St.Thomas. I'm a seascape photographer and want to go to the the caribbean island that has the nices looking tropical beaches and also and element of seclusion even if I have to drive to get their. I will be taking my family, wife and two children 10 & 7 so that is a consideration as well. I'm trying to stay under $3000.00 for the cost of airfare and accommodations, spending money as side.

Thanks for any advice!

I've been to many of the islands and thought every one was great. But each has different things to offer. We went to Treasure Cay last year with the whole family - five adults, two teenagers and two small kids. It was great! Not crowded, very laid back. Beautiful beach, little nightlife - never felt unsafe. We rented a boat for three days and visited the surrounding cays - if you go, don't miss Nippers. TC has a grocery store - if you stay in a condo you can really save on meal costs. I would recommend this for a family. Went to St Thomas four years ago - again, beautiful beaches, shopping, more night life if that's your kick. Never felt unsafe. If photography is important, I would hit St Thomas - with a for sure trip to St John. Mountain views, some absolutely gorgeous sights of beaches. Abaco is flat - I don't think the scenery is nearly as spectacular. I don't think you'll regret either place.
