Hi, My partner and I are planning to go on our honeymoon to the caribbean next year, we were thinking of either September or Jube but was worried about the rainy season, has anyone had any experience of this? Also can anyone recommend a romantic destination where excursions are possible? I like something to do aswell as sea and sand. Any help is appreciated, Thanks, Rebecca

Although June is the official start of hurricane season, I would suggest June over September. September is peak storm season. When deciding on the islands, do you want French, British, American? Pick an island that suits which activities you want. Good luck

Thanks, we have decided June over December, however still not sure where to go, We like places with a bit of culture, something to see aswell as beach etc. I also like shopping and eating out, I was thinking of possibly St Lucia, Jamaica or Babados, Any suggestions?

St. Lucia is a good choice. Reduit beach is probably the best beach locale. The island is lush. St. Martin is also a great choice. With 2 nationalities present, you can enjoy nightlife on the Dutch side and great food on the French side. Also, boutique hotels.

I agree with the previous post on St.Lucia. My husband and I just got back and it is truly a lush, beautiful island (we've been to many). We stayed in the Reduit beach/Rodney bay area and glad we did.Lots of great returants and activities.

My husband and I went to St. Lucia in September 2001 and it was beautiful. The weather was the perfect temperature, it did rain but for about 10 mins. The locals are extremely friendly and very helpful. There was plenty to do, we went horseback riding, took a catamaran to Sofries and saw the Pitons. Make sure you have dinner at THE GREAT HOUSE, they did a special anniversary dinner for us that was fabulous. I can't say enough about St. Lucia, we will definitely return some day.

Thanks thats all really helpful. Where abouts in St Lucia do you recommend? The rain still worries me but I think we'll risk it.

This is a nice small resort for your Honeymoon.

Turks and Caicos Club is on Grace Bay Beach on Providenciales.
We enjoyed it a lot.

No worries about the rain. It usually happens at night while you're asleep. It will pour, which is why everything is lush in the am.
