I am planning a trip to Punta Cana this summer. I plan to stay at the Iberostar Punta Cana. Does anyone have any feedback regarding the resort or the destination.

We went to Punta Cana about 6 years ago. I am sure that it's changed. It took a couple of flights to get there from New York, back then. I remember beautiful tall palm lined beaches on Bavaro Beach. Back then we stayed at Barcelo Palace resort and had a terrific room with a great view. I've heard things have changed since then. I think we got there in the beginning before it got crazy. But, I hear Secrets resorts is very nice. In the DR the all-inclusive is usually the way to go. We generally find small, boutique hotels to stay at elsewhere. Check it out before you go.

I failed to mention that you will love the beach, ocean and the friendliness of the people there. I don't know specifics about the Iberostar resort, but, I understand that it is an all-inclusive, and, I am sure that you'll enjoy your vacation.

We visited 2 years ago. What a lush garden area!!! Tall palm trees. Large resorts, they have trains running back and forth all day for riders that are tired of the walking. They generally have small lizards and lots of exotic birds there (flamingos and peacocks). Soft sand, very nice beaches, very economical. Not much to do but relax and enjoy, snorkeling is poor there. Resort amenities are something else.

I have a friend who just got back from there and she and her husband would go back in a flash. It was there first time and they really enjoyed the place, They said the food was really goos and service was excellent.
