My favorite island has lots to offer. Let's start with the nicer places. Morgan's Mango has great nouveau island cuisine(mango salsa's, etc) , special food nights and music and great staff and bartenders. Also in Cruz Bay is great seafood at the Fish Trap (around the corner from the Catholic Church) and an amazing fish chowder! The Lime Inn about a block away has seafood as well and is almost all outdoors on various decks. Look for the all you can eat shrimp nights! And for awesome take out Barbecue, go to Uncle Joe's, a small hut near the post office. Really great stuff here! For fun times in Cruz Bay you have to start at Woody's. This little white building across from the Subway sandwich place (STJ's only big name fast food) has a great happy hour from 4-6 with dollar beers and cheap drinks. With tables indoors and almost on the street its one place you can drink and get snack till early morning (try the shark bites, yumm). It's also known to get crazy with belly button shots on the bar, and other grown-up silliness. (<-- my favorite). The Beach Bar overlooks Pillsbury Sound and has amazing sunsets with live music many nights. Name acts have been known to pop in and play for the hell of it unanounced. The Love Shack is a fun dance spot close to the last two places. Also, next to Woody's, and up a flight of stairs is the Quiet Mon bar, an Irish Pub where you can use the net, play a game or look over the street drom the balcony rail. There's more in Cruz Bay, but let's not leave out a few faves in Coral Bay. Here you have to go to Skinny Legs (formerly Red Beards). This is the dive of all dives on StJ but also has the biggest and best burgers and a few other things written on a surfbaord as the menu. The drinks are great and they have some crazy times here (I once saw 4 people fall off bar stools in one night). Up the road is Lucy's. Good any night but especially known for the full moon parties when they roast one of Lucy's pigs and party the night away. These are just a few of a couple dozen restaurants on StJ that are our favorites and I'd say, must sees. Enjoy it all, party on and be sure you have a safe driver for the ride back to your place, as the roads are tricky. Hoist a cold "Carib" Beer for me at Woody's!
