surprise trip for wife, how to tell her?

I am surprising my wife for our 10 yr anniversary with a trip to Sandals in the Bahamas and am trying to think of the perfect way to surprise her. Anyone have any good ideas to spring it on her? Should I tell her ahead of time so she can go shopping for the trip? Tell her the night before to pack her bags? Any ideas would be appreciated.

DON'T tell her..tell a best girlfriend and she can get some of the packing done.....WRAP up a pair of "Sandlas" in a box and give it to her 24 hours before u go !

I'm really picky about what I pack for a trip (and I think other women may be, too), so I would suggest telling her that you're going somewhere tropical and let the rest be a surprise. That way she can go shopping if she wants to and the excitment/anticipation will build.

What a great idea, your wife will be thrilled, but if it was my hubby surprising me, I would want to know. I wouldn't want to know where, but just that we are going away, so I can pack my own stuff, and not miss out on the anticipation! The counting down is half the fun! I would want perhaps 2-3 days to prepare, and to get excited and do the old countdown!

I couldn't hold it in any longer I told her in a poem last night: Here is what I wrote:

Come July 8th ten years will have past
My oh my it has gone very fast

Years one through three were about you and me
No worrying about kids just living carefree

Then along came Brody and things just got better
For now it was the three of us living together

Still not satisfied we went for one more
Tyler was born and that brought us to four

We have since added Sonny (dog) to round out our crew
One constant through it all is that our love has stayed true

Our days are filled shuttling our kids all around
With not enough alone time for us to be found

So with this in mind I set out on a quest
To find us some alone time to relax and find rest

So I got on the net and went from site to site
For it couldnâ??t be just good it had to be just right

Ten years is special and for certain so are you
Your heart is so beautiful and your eyes are bright blue

So I have picked us a place to spend this memorable time
We can sip champagne and drink Corona with a lime

We started at Sandals (Negril) and will return once again
Only this time someplace new not where we have already been

So kick off those shoes and light us some candles
Because we are heading to the Bahamas and we are staying at Sandals!

Make sure the two of you have a good base tan before you go. You may be quite miserable otherwise!!
