Bahama weather in July

Heading to the Bahamas in July and just viewed a chart that said the island gets on average almost 7 inches of rain for the month making it their 5th rainiest month. Is this mostly those blast showers that come around lunch time, rain hard for an hour and pass on or are days lost due to consistent rain? Thanks.
