View Full Version : St Croix - U.S.V.I.
We have recently booked a trip to St. Croix in November of this year. Looking for things to do, restaurants, island crime, where not to go, where to go, etc.....

I've gotten a faceful from a few when giving my personal thoughts on St. Croix in the past so I'll only say, as with anywhere, there is crime, and if you let your guard down, you may be a victim. I've been to some of the suppposedly most dangerous cities on earth and never felt threatened and loved them...and was almost mugged in Boston at North Station on a Saturday morning. So, be careful and enjoy. Here is a link to a really good website that can answer lots of questions for you on all sorts of topics. I hope it helps. http://www.gotostcroix.com/faq.htm

I moved to St. Croix last fall and I hate to say it, but it was a disappointment. It felt unsafe to be out past dark. Christiansted is rimmed with housing projects to the east and I was warned repeatedly to keep my guard up. Crack was everywhere.

Hello Tom, If I were you I would absloutely go toi St. John instead and stay at ESTATE LINGHOLM. Great place and a beautiful room for $200 per night. I lived in St. Thomas for years and I never did like St. Croix.
