Aruba recos please

We're going to Aruba for the first time in July and staying at the Marriott Surf Club for a week. We're arriving one day early and staying 2 days later. We're thinking of finding an inexpensive place for the first night and willing to spend $200 a night for the last 2 nights each. I'm thinking of staying away from the high rise area for those two nights, just to get away from crowds and really chill until we have to leave.

Can you recommend any hotels?

I recommend the Tamarijn.....its an all-inclusive resort. It's not in the high-rise district and has a private beach. The hotel is only 2 stories and all of the rooms are oceanfront. This is not a spectacular hotel, mind you. It's nice. However, for the amount of time spent in a room....it was no big deal to us. We had a 2nd floor room with a balcony overlooking the beach. Literally, from the bldg we were in, there was 20 ft to walk to be on the beach. If you're looking for some R&R...this could be the place for you.
