Stayed at the hotel Guanahani resort in ST.Barths for 25th anniversary, and Little Dix bay on Virgin Gorda,BVI. Both places were nice, but we really enjoyed ST.Barths. The people were very friendly and professional at the reosrt and the restaurants as well. Guanahani is in a quiet cove, and just total relaxation. We love the smart car convertable, which is a little 2 seater car that they have over in europe (too cute). The food was great, but we went the first week in june, and that is considered the off season, so some of the restaurants close for the summer, but not all of them, just the ones that do enough busniess and can afford to close. The hotels are like little cottages, but everything is really clean. If you like big fancy resorts, then don't go, but i will say the same for virgin gorda, and little dix bay. The food is reallly expensive at the hotel and there aren't a lot of choices on this small british island. But the location is fantastic, and very relaxed. The only thing i would do different is the occomodations. The resort was built in the 60's by the rockefeller's and is now a rosewood resort. Other than the 8 units that were just built about a year ago, most of the units have been renovated recentley, and there isn't that much difference between a $350.00 room and $700.00 room. You have to spend $800.00 per night to get a bathtub, that we never used anyway, because most have outdoor showers, which was way cool, but hey it was our 25th, so i splurged, but if you go the economy route, they still offer to take you to a different beach everyday, no matter what. The baths at the south end of virgin gorda is not to be missed, and one of those geological phenoms, that defies all logic. Incredible! jUST TYPE IN THE BATHS,BVI IN A GOOGLE IMAGE SEARCH.
