Anyone been to the T&C islands lately? I am planning to go in September and stay at the Ocean Club. Any advice?? Thanks!

We were in T&C in September of last year, our 3rd visit. We have not stayed at Ocean Club, but have heard good things about it. Are there any specific questions you have about the island?

What is there to do on Provo besides the beach?

There's really not much to do besides the beach. Snorkeling, but of course that involves the beach as well. ;)

You could do the Conch Farm Tour. Interesting and good to kill about an hour or two.

You can take a daytrip to Grand Turk via SkyKing, or maybe take a daytrip excursion to Middle Caicos.

Other than that, it's really all about the beach.

Drink on the beach, walk on the beach, read on the beach, kiss on the beach, snorkel (off) the beach. Pretty much about the beach...but what a beautiful white beach it is!

Funny beach story fits here. A few ago, friends visiting here went to the beach and there were a couple other people besides them swimming, and it is a beautiful sandy beach. Suddenly, people started shouting and looking out to sea from the shore. They heard..."no, no!!!" and feared the worst, a shark attack!!! Clambering to shore they were happily suprised that the local wild dolphin, nicknamed Jo Jo, was who they were all shouting for as he was spotted offshore. Not sure if Jo Jo's still there but, another nice attraction to these beaches.

There are so many beaches to visit on T & C. Depending on the time of year, Grace Bay can be busy. May I suggest heading to Turtle Cove and rent a "jeep" from Scooter Bob's and drive around the island and visit other beaches. You will be pleasantly surprised! And make sure you get out for dinner as much as you can. There are fabulous restaurants here!

We stay at the Turks & Caicos Club in October and loved it and the beaches were amazing. Caicos Adventures was great for diving. Simba Restaurant (TCClub), Gecko Grille, Da Conch Shack and Yoshi's we recommend for dining.http://www.turksandcaicosclub.com:)
