From what I've been reading and seeing on another forum, it is getting closer to resembling being open, but from some recent photos, it is still a large construction zone. However, they do say they are "open".

If you are looking for an adults only resort on Antigua, not necessarily a Sandals, I would recommend Galley Bay. We got married there last July and it was the best adults only resort I have ever been to! It was very intimate and quiet but there was still plenty to do. We felt the resort went out of their way to make our trip, especially our wedding day, special...we never felt like a number, like you can at some of the larger resorts. Just an example, we went to town to apply for our license and we were the only ones from Galley Bay getting married on the 27th, but there were six or seven other couples getting married at Sandals on the same day! Galley Bay isn't inexpensive, but neither is Sandals if you get a comparable room...and with the Galley Bay double upgrade offer they have going right now, it's an even better deal. (I don't work for Galley Bay or Elite Resorts, I just really, really loved the resort) Happy Travels!

I am a huge fan of Sandals. My husband and I have been to Sandals in St. Lucia and we have been spoiled by the ultra all inclusive. I think anywhere you stay at Sandals will be wonderful because you do not have to carry one penny around with you the whole time. All the Islands are beautiful in their own way... go... you won't be dissapointed, I'm sure of it.
