Last year we took advantage of cheap airfare to Nassau Bahamas, and stayed in the Comfort Inn & Suites on Paradise Island. This is right next door to the Atlantis Resort. It turns out that the owner of the Comfort Inn and the owner of Atlantis made a deal years ago that Comfort Inn guests get full privileges at the Atlantis for free! The Comfort Inn is 1/3 or less the rate of the Atlantis rooms. We were able to enjoy all the Atlantis pools, beach, rides, and scenery as if we were staying at the Atlantis, but paid the "poor cousin" room rate. It worked out great for us, being on a budget with college tuitions looming soon.
=> Are there any other comparable hotel partnerships in the Caribbean, where a less-expensive hotel has usage privileges at a neighboring luxury hotel?
Our Nassau trip was a good way to sample the Atlantis for a discount price. We'd like to try that elsewhere if possible.
