The g/f and I are looking at traveling to Club Med Columbus Isle next Feb. (08). Have been comparing it to the new Verandah in Antigua and to Club Med Turkoise. Looking for low key relaxation, great beaches, good snorkeling, and decent food (all inclusive). I realize that Verandah is new, but would any of you that may have experienced any of these shed some light that may help us out. TIA

I haven't been to Colombus Isle (yet) but I've been to Turkoise. Turks and Caicos has THE prettiest beach I have ever been to. Turkoise is on the bay where all the super upscale and expensive hotels are going in (but fortunately Turkoise is still affordable!) The food there is ok...not spectacular but good with the exception of their fabulous white chocolate bread! Yummy! Absolutely beautiful white sand beach and clear water and great snorkeling/diving thanks to a large reef wall just off the beach. Fun environment, decent nightlife at the resort...you can join in as much or as little as you want...if you just want "together time" people will leave you alone but if you want to join in for pool volleyball, trapeze flying, dancing or any other activities, you can do that as well. Overall a very fun but still very relaxing resort. And as a bonus...no kids allowed!
