I have been looking online a lot lately at the Caymans. I'd like to plan a trip this summer to visit all three Islands if possible. I would love to retire to the Caribbean and have been looking at websites for the Caymans, but I am not finding all the information I need.
I am looking for information regarding each Island:
which Island has several white sand beaches
where/what side are the "iron shores" on and on what island (where you can't really swim from the beach)?
best restaurants; resorts; beaches; etc.
I am looking for as much information as possible before I plan my trip.
thanks
karen

caymanislands.ky/ is tourist information for all 3 islands; should answer all
your questions.

decided to go to Antigua instead. We got a great deal on the hotel. I did some research on the Caymans and discovered that the Islands are smoke free - no smoking in any public gathering place and most of the hotels. Since my friend and I both currently smoke - we opted to pass on the Caymans.

Karen,
If you are on Antigua on a Sunday, a must thing to do is to go in the later afternoon up to Shirley Heights. With a great view of the harbor and vilages below and the sea to the left and island to the right, one of the best, and most welcoming parties takes place. Plenty of barbecue and island foods along with island drinks are available to purchase and live steel or reggae plays into the darkness. I have wonderful memories of this, one being a rastaman dancing atop a van as the sunset behind him, to the music.
