Hey everyone! We've been blogging like crazy these past few weeks, so I hope you've all been reading and enjoying the Editors' Blog...but of course I'm going to name-drop the link again anyway, just in case you haven't found it yet :) You can access it directly from our home page, or just surf over to:

http://caribbeantravelmag.blogspot.com/

We've found some great specials on airfare and hotels, and a few of our editors have been posting some stories from the road as well. And for the uber web-savvy, just a heads up that we're also on Facebook and Twitter now!

We hope you'll check us out on all three new applications, and as always, let us know your thoughts. We want to hear from you. Thanks!

Blogs and Twitters and Facebooks by publishers and editors are fine for letting people know what's up and bargains and...oh, did I mention advertising? However, just finding the forum with the new site was a bit tricky with no link anymore. This was the readers place to discuss and ask questions about what we want to..not what the editors wanted us to. Yeah, kayaking the Caribbean is cool, but that won't help anyone who wants to know if there's a kid friendly hotel on the north side of Jamaica for an upcoming trip. Or allow us to freely mention a bad experience in St Maarten.

The forum was just such a place, and with controls, and a link from the homepage, could be again. But, it's your website, your magazine, and up to you.

Hi Carib Mark,
We're trying it out this way to see how it works, but nothing is necessarily final. That's the great thing about the web...we can test what works best for the readers and users, and constantly evolve the site to meet everyone's needs.

Thanks for the suggestion and I'll definitely bring it up to the rest of the team for consideration.

I have been reading the blogs and find them to be fun and enjoyable, although a little bit hard to find. But I'll keep reading 'em.

We actually just revealed a new look on the site this week, and the Blog link is now located in the main navigation bar with the other primary site functions: Travel Specials, Contests, Classifieds etc. We plan to keep it there, so hopefully it will be easy to find our blog from now on. Glad you enjoy reading it...we love the enhanced capabilities that the blog gives us to update everyone on travel news, deals and our own trip reports!
