Has anyone stayed at the Bucuti Beach Resort in Aruba? I'm planning a honeymoon to Aruba this August and it seems like a nice, small place to stay away from the high rise hotel area.

I have stayed at Bucuti three times and have been to Aruba 15 times. If you send me your questions at...........dstger10448@cs.com.....I can provide you with all the info you need on this resort and surrounding area on the island.

It is nice and low-key. Comfortable but not overly fancy, and the balconies are spacious. I don't know if the Pirate's Nest restaurant is still there, but it's lots of fun--it's located on a "pirate ship" washed ashore.
A nice touch is the refirgerators and the microwave in the rooms.
I enjoyed staying there.

since your going in August this may not be a timely reply. However, the Bucutti is a wonderful and breathtaking site with one of the best beaches around (Eagle) Be aware that the Bucutti is undergoing an expansion and while they have indicated that construction won't begin until 8:30 (that IS a.m.) some may find that distracting for this year. Otherwise, the staff are devine, the Pirates Nest restaurant is really good and if your lucky (like I was) you might even get to see some Leatherbacks hatch while you're there.
