Can anyone advice on either the White Sand Hotel in Negril or Foote Prints? My friend and I are arguing on which is the better but CHEAP place -

My husband & I stayed at the white sands last year. Make sure you ask for beach side for only a few dollars more. Part of the hotel and the pool is across the street and is a good walk. The people their are very nice but the bar was always dead, not much action. They did have good drink specials everyday and all the watersports are right their. If we would ever go back we would stay their again for the price. They turn off the ac after they clean your rooms to save on electric, so we would stay close by and after they were done we would go and turn it back on. It's window units and it takes awhile to cool down. Also no tv's are in the room, but that didn't bother us at all.

Not even close. White Sands. Foote Prints is a dive reserved for Spring Breakers. Stay at WS and walk up the beach....you'll be glad you decided to stay at WS. On the same note, have you looked at Rondel Village, Coco La Palm or Idle Awhile? Those are the three top non AI resorts on Negril Beach.
