We are looking for a hotel that has good snorkeling on their property as opposed to boat trips to snorkeling sites.

Definitely DON'T stay at the Marriott. The hotel is nice but they have a postage stamp beach due to erosion and there is nothing worth seeing underwater. Your best bet is to rent a car and drive to some of the best snorkel spots such as cemetary beach and the shipwreck just to name a couple. We've been to the Caymans 3X...they're great but expensive.

Anse Chastenet and Jalousie Hilton both have good snorkeling from the beach. The Jalousie's area is smaller, a roped off section around the base of one of the Pitons. The AC one is larger but less densely populated by coral and fish. Both good, and both are good resorts, depending on what you're looking for. I've also heard that the snorkeling from the beach at Ti Kaye Village is good.
