I saw that one U.S. dollar was equal to $58 Jamaican. Is the food and drink cheap there?

Posted costs seem to have risen some to reflect the exchange rate. In Negril this past Sept., a lobster dinner was around $17--21 US; brown stew chicken around $5--7. Fruit and vagetables from the market seem cheaper than in the US. A full JA breakfast averaged around $5--7. Patties were $0.80--1.50, depending on filling.
